Camión Medio Todo Terreno m.gl.Lkw. y m.Lkw (A-Tipo)

The Opel Blitz 3 ton A-Typ 4x4 cargo truck became the standard medium truck of the German army, replacing earlier 4x2 medium trucks and 6x6 l.E.Lkw light standard trucks which were more expensive to produce. As the war progressed, other automobile manufacturers were ordered to produce the Opel Blitz A-Typ truck instead of their own medium truck types. Nearly 25,000 Opel Blitz A-Typ trucks were produced at the Opel Brandenburg/Havel plant alone, not counting thousands of similar A-Typ trucks produced by Mercedes-Benz, Borgward, and Klöckner-Deutz. When these manufacturers resumed their truck production after the war, they turned out more of the popular A-Typ trucks.
