Brittling und Arm Break of a Timpo Wagon DriverPlastic Corrosion due to Oxygen and UV Radition
The right arm of this timpo wagon driver snapped off, when a weapon was to be inserted into the figure’s hand. It is interesting to note that the more fragile wrist join mastered the stress applied to the hand, but the much thicker upper arm broke. New and uncorroded thermoplastic miniatures will react elastic, they deform under stress, but return to their original shape when the stress is removed. When plastic corrosion sets in, the effected miniature becomes glassy, breaks easily or completely disintegrates at the slightest touch.
