Flower Class Corvette H.M.S. Bluebell
Revell 1:72 Scale Model
Editors of Military Miniatures Magazine located this assembled model of a Flower Class corvette during a visit to Hamburg harbour. The corvette was built from an older version of the same kit now re-released by Revell. This model of H.M.S. Bluebell differs from kit No. 05061 only in the decal sheets supplied with it. The assembled corvette and the glas case it comes in were for sale at a model ship store in Hamburg harbour district.
Close-up view of the bridge and the 4" SL gun. The sailors included in this kit wear the distinctive British tin helmet. US Navy personnel wore an American type steel helmet in combat.
